The Keen Home Care Story
In 2005, our current team of geriatric care managers (GCMs) began working together to serve the seniors in the Long Beach community. We shared a passion for enhancing the quality of life for aging adults and restoring balance and peace of mind to their families, so we started Keen Home Care.
Thanks to our more than 75 years of combined experience in assisting seniors and their families, and our comprehensive clinical backgrounds in geriatric care, nursing, physical therapy and social work, we’ve made a positive impact in the lives of hundreds of seniors and their families. With every new success story, we gain new insights into the challenges aging presents to not only the senior, but to their entire family. As “one of the family” to many of our customers, we empathize with them and understand the incredible stress of this season of life.
Now, as a seasoned team, we are superbly equipped to deal with any situation, whether it’s a chronic condition, assisting with physical therapy or problematic behaviors related to Alzheimer’s or dementia. Our diversity and experience also allow us to tailor our in-home elder care to your loved one’s needs and budget.
Keen Home Care has established the model of senior care we envisioned – a model built on helping families with compassion, integrity and accountability.

Our In-Home Caregivers
Because our in-home caregivers spend the most time with your loved one, they must meet the highest of standards before being hired. All potential caregivers are put through an extensive screening process and are chosen for their dependability, experience and affinity for elderly care.
All of our personal caregivers are passionate about their vocation. Whether the caregiver is required for four hours a day or around the clock, they must be a companion to your loved one, building a lasting relationship of trust and comfort.
Equally important, our caregivers must be educated, experienced and well referenced, which is why we hire not only companions, but Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs).
Our caregivers are the eyes and ears for the geriatric care managers and their accurate, continual communication ensures your loved one gets the care and quality of life they deserve.
All of our in-home caregivers are bonded, insured and screened for criminal records, DMV violations and references. They also must pass TB tests.
